Music Ministry --Tim McMillan Worship/Associate Minister

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is your song service?
The average song service is 20 minutes.

What kind of instruments do you have?
We have drums, piano, keyboard, guitar and bass guitar.

What type of music do you sing?
We like to mix the old with the new and that mix is about 50/50. We believe that contemporary songs are a wonderful way to express our relationship with the Lord. We also believe that the hymns of the church are a treasure to keep alive in our worship. Both blend well and help us to worship in Spirit and in Truth.

Do you clap or raise your hands during worship?
Sometimes, if the Spirit moves or if the song we are singing lends to extra praise. Raising of hands is a personal preference and accepted as a form of worship at CCC.

Do you only sing fast songs?
No, we sing 2 upbeat songs and then sing 2 or 3 slower songs that are more reflective in nature.

Can anyone join the Praise Team?
You must first be a member of CCC to be considered for the Praise Team. The candidate must then audition and interview with the Music Ministry Committee.
